ImageIsabella Levin, a 10-year-old Brodetsky Primary School pupil, will swim 50 lengths on 5th September in a bid to raise funds for Martin House Children’s Hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby. Martin House Hospice is a charity for children from across the Yorkshire region with progressive life limiting illnesses, and it provides support for them and their families.

ImageThe new Jewish Heritage Centre for Children (JHCC) in Leeds is opening its doors to groups of schoolchildren on 5th October. The Centre will allow children to learn more about the Jewish faith and is based at the Lubavitch Centre on Shadwell Lane in a purpose-built extension.

Celebrating Leeds Jewish Heritage E-mail

Image The Jewish and wider community in Leeds are being invited to volunteer their services and ideas to help with LJ150, a major project spanning the next two years that consists of a series of events to mark 150 years of Jewish heritage in the city. The project is organised by Makor, the Jewish cultural office for Leeds and Yorkshire, which is based at the MAZCC.
